Rent a fishing kayak

Launch from Santa Cruz or Half Moon Bay

Pedal driven, so you can keep fishing while you move. Every kayak comes fully rigged and ready to fish.

Head out on your own, or book a guided kayak fishing trip.

How it works

  1. 1

Pick a day and a kayak

Only the days we are running show up. Choose a hull by name or let us pick one.

  2. 2

    Meet us at the launch

We are at the harbor with your kayak rigged. Ten-minute briefing and you are on the water.

  3. 3

    Fish the reefs

Rockfish, lingcod and halibut live a short paddle from the ramp. We will give you map coordinates to where the bite has been hot.

Our Kayaks

A Hobie fleet

Our rental fleet is made up of Hobie Outbacks and Hobie Compasses, all fully rigged for fishing. Every kayak runs a MirageDrive 180, so your legs do the work, your hands stay on the rod, and you can back up off a snag without putting the rod down. Whichever model you choose, the rental price is the same.

My friends kayak fish pretty often, and I’d been wanting to try it myself. This was my first time fishing from a kayak, and the rental made it easy to finally get out there and give it a shot.

I was completely new to fishing and mostly just wanted to get out on the water with friends. The kayak made it easy to enjoy the day and try fishing for the first time.
